Cross Body Bag ToGo

I love it! This is me all the way. I created a cross body bag large enough to hold my wallet, phone and keys. Perfect for when I am on the go. It measures 8" wide x 6" tall x 3" deep. The strap has a 22" drop. Inside the bag there is a single pocket.  Now I can't wait until to I get to go somewhere hot or for summer to come back so I can use it.

My Friday Project...

Today's project is a cute little Lilac Wrist Purse. I am from Rochester, NY and we are known as the Lilac City, so of course it reminds me of my home city. 

The purse measures 5-1/2" x 4-1/2" x 2" and I added a 7"wrist strap. I think this bag is perfect for carrying inside a tote or a brief case bag and to pull out and carry when you only need your purse.  

Next I think I will make a matching tote bag and wrist purse set for me!

Sock Monkey Quilted Pillow

 This Sock Monkey Pillow measures 18" x 18". It is finished on both sides. The inside is lined with quilt batting for even more comfort when in use.  It will also help to keep its shape for many years to come.

Hello Kitty as The Pink Power Ranger!

A few weeks ago I made a tote bag as a surprise for my new daughter-in-law. I am a huge fan of Hello Kitty and she likes the Power Rangers. So I put a picture of Hello Kitty dressed as a Power Ranger on the front.

Quilted Purse for Walker

I designed and created this purse to attach to a walker for a friend of mine. It is the same as the Quilted Purses I have been sewing recently except I did not add the shoulder straps. Instead I added 2 velcro straps on the back of the purse for attaching to the walker. The measurements are 13" wide x 12" tall x 4" deep

2012 in review

2012 was a busy year for me. I wish I was busier at the sewing machine. My dream for 2013 is to leave my present job and begin my career sewing full time. Here are some of my 2012 projects.

Heather's Housewarming Gift

My friend, Heather recently purchased a new home. She is a fan of Mackenzie Childs so I decided to make her throw pillows to compliment the pieces she has placed around her home. I have a feeling she will enjoy them as much as I have creating them. Now she just has to decide if they are going in her Living Room or Master Bedroom.

I used a Dior Velveteen and Satin Fabric and Waverly Trim.
